Two things woke me up around three am this morning. The first thing was a really strange dream where I was shopping for cellphones with the Swedish princess Madeline, for her dad! Any input on what you think that dream mean is more than welcome.
The second thing that woke me up was a crazy pain in my left foot, in between the two biggest toes. The pain originates from my new flip-flops and I’m super disappointed. I doubt that there will be anymore flip-flop wearing in this trip!
I did manage to get back to sleep and sleep to the morning and another yum brekkie.
My hostess adorable little son had playgroup this morning so after some hustling and bustling we got in the bus to go and drop him of.
Then it was time for grown-up time and we went to an amazing and peaceful cafe with a beautiful garden.
We also managed to squeeze in some antiquing before it was time to go pick up Mr three-year-old.
Apparently three-year-olds like playgrounds, so I got to hang out at one of those as well, not something that happens everyday in this single girls life, I can tell you that.
With all those activities one could think that it was time to go back home; wrong! The library apparently had computers with free internet so we went there for me to satisfy my internet addiction. I didn’t get around to apply for any jobs, I did get some recipes of this very blog though, so I can cook more dinners for my hosts.
All this happened before lunch, imagine that my fellow unemployed friends, remember having days like that. Going past the grocery store, we headed home and had leftover lunch, mine was Monday’s dinner, still as yum now as it was then.
I settled down in my current favorite chair with food and a book, and that’s how I spent the rest of the afternoon.
Once the book was finished, doing the one-a-day at the moment, I cooked another dinner in order to spoil my friends. Today we settled for chili-lime chicken with rice and a green salad.
The evening is now ending with me babysitting, getting pretty good at this I would say, maybe I should make it into a career anyhow. It’s pretty easy when all you have to do is watch the Muppets movies!
