I had another slow morning, enjoying my breakfast and book while my hostess went to the gym.
Once she returned we got ready and headed to town for a trip down memory lane. We started at a cafe called metro, a place that we visited quite frequently back in the days. Today we had breakfast for lunch.
We then walked to Starbucks to see if I could get my hands on a Dunedin mug, unfortunately they didn’t have any. It seems I will leave NZ with only a NZ mug.
Since I left they built a new mall and how could we not check that out? I was a good girl, all I bought was some fun hair ties.
One thing that students do, is visit bars so we walked past a couple of them. One was still there, the other one was just an empty building, sad!
I also managed to purchase some presents for the people at home.
We also did the grocery shopping at my old grocery store, back then it was open 24/7 now it closes at midnight. What has the world come to?
After a long day out, we returned home to get ready for the evening. There was a family dinner planned and I was invited to join. The restaurant is called custom house and the salmon I chose was real yum with a little side of shrimps.
I also got to know my friends future sister-in-law and her man (if one can call the dude in purple shirt, a man). He insisted to be on the blog, so here goes, I give to you the t-man.
Sometime during this night I was also named a Swedish goddess, a name that I don’t really mind that much and have decided to keep.
Normally the night would end with the dinner, however now we are in Dunedin and things are different! After dinner we went back to countdown;
And before it was time for some of these;
No visit to Dunedin is complete without late night Speight at some random persons flat!
