Down-under 2013

The beginning of a return

Today marked the end ofy stay in Dunedin, very sad I must say. Since my hostess had to work today I figured I could just catch a ride with her into town. Once again I ran into the alarm clock issue, getting out if bed was impossible and in the end it was a bit of a rush. In the other hand, it gave me a real good excuse to visit countdown again, for breakfast.

I then remembered to post my Dunedin postcards, second batch this trip. Pretty impressive for someone that has a tendency to bring them back home and just hand them to people.

After walking around town for a while, saying good bye to it, I sat down in the sun enjoying a coffee. Really appreciate Dunedin showing its best side.

I then begun the walk back, wanting to make sure I had enough time to pack and get ready I’m time for the shuttle. It’s a good thing I did, as walking up the hill of death made a shower a requirement.

At home I had a nice leftover lunch before the wonders of Facebook became apparent.

My hostess future sister-in-law and I became friends on Facebook after she named me the Swedish goddess (how can you not?), thus she realized I was home alone and she was bored. Thus she came over and over a couple of beers stolen of her brother we had a lovely afternoon in the sun.

Going to the airport was sad and I refuse to say good bye, it’s most definitely an au revoir to good old dunnes.

As I made it back to Wellington and after a small issue with airport busses, I was home – for now. Waiting for me there was yum lamb dinner.

Lemon cake.

Chocolate and a quality book for my flight to OZ, since I can’t bring the library books on the plane.

Why my hostess think I will ever leave I know not.
