When life sucks

One big load of self pity coming right up!

I had great plans for this weekend, I have been looking forward to it like a kid looks forward to Christmas for quite some time now. And what happens? I get sick!!!

Tonight I was supposed to have my fabulous clothe switching party, I invited a bunch of my friends to bring the clothes they don’t wear anymore and then we all switch. With this there was supposed to be some wine or beer and just a nice chill evening. Since I’m pretty much passed out on the couch with a fever, feeling generally shit, this will not happen. And seriously, I am feeling real sorry for myself right now! I wanted to have a nice evening with my friends, not get dead tired from walking between the couch and the bathroom! Seriously no fun at all!

Tomorrow morning I was going to meet my sister and her family at the airport when they arrive home from a two-week vacation. I was looking forward to see them again, if only for just a little while. I doubt that is going to happen. I will just have to stay on the couch and rest, with the hope that come Monday I will be feeling well enough to go to class and work!

Until then I will just continue feeling totally sorry for myself and the fun that I’m missing out on right now!

When life sucks

Hiding underneath the cover

Don’t we all have the days where we just want to pull the cover over our heads and not move, just stay in the warm comfort of the bed because life is just not in an awesome place. I had one of those days today.

I had plans for the day (don’t I always) to continue with the mummy is coming for a visit mission before heading to class in the afternoon. It’s just that when I woke up I felt so sad, like a big chunk of sadness just made its home in me. With no energy or wish to do anything at all, I decided to have a metaphorical day hiding underneath the covers. Really it contained of a two-hour long bath, trying to relax and figure out the reason for the sadness, relaxation wise it worked, sadness wise it didn’t.

The rest of the time has pretty much been doing nothing at all, thinking, drinking coffee and watching telly. The brightest moment of the day must have been when work called me and asked if I could come in earlier than planned tomorrow, which I can, because I’m needed. Sadly enough that gave me a boost.

Still feeling sad, without being able to put my finger on the specifics. Considering taking myself out for dinner to see if that makes the mood any better, and remembering that there are only two sleeps left until mother dearest arrive – and we always have a real great time!

Quality of Life

On my way home

Another exciting weekend has come to its end, as I’m sitting on the train that will take me back over the bridge. With my I have an evening snack that cemented my blown budget.

It’s bread and water for the rest of the year now, but it has been worth it.

Before I can hit my couch I need to return this to my favourite latte mum;

The loan has been very appreciate, a big budget saviour to not have to pay for the train across the bridge. Then I’ll pass by the grocery store so I finally get the coffee, I’ll need it tomorrow morning.

Hope you all had an awesome weekend as well!

Later peeps!

Imagine that, I didn’t take a single pic, kind of sad! However da Teacher celebrated her bday, first time since I got to know her, progress! And her new boyfriend is absolutely what I want for her, perfect!

Now on to the next date, which is a non disclosure one, so there will be no more from me today!

Quality of Life

Date no 3

Miss legal was waiting for me as I got off the metro, it’s been ages since we saw each other last so it was awesome to just hang. Since she has been away climbing a very large mountain there was really only one option, bubbles!

Spending quality times with your friends are just the best, so when date no four went missing in action it wasn’t an issue at all as date no three just got extended to more talk about awesome mountains, life in general and red wine.

Unfortunately it wasn’t to be an all nighter as date no five is looming in the future, or as soon as the bus shows up! Da Teacher, I’m on my way!

Later peeps!

Family

Date no 2

The train arrived only two minutes late, and on the next stop my sister with family also boarded the full train.

The bastards are going for two weeks of sun and warmth in Dubai. I’m not the slightest bit jealous! And since I was already planning on going to Copenhagen this lovely Saturday I figured I might as well go with them to the airport and wave them. Any opportunity to get some quality time with the family.
After they checked in their bags we sat down for a snack and the first Christmas beer of the year.

And now, as they are making their way towards the gate I’m on the metro, on my way to meet miss legal, that will have such fun stories to tell about her latest adventure.

Later peeps!

Coffee

Date no 1

Still no coffee at home! No worries, this morning I had a date at a cafe with Miss clumsy so I got morning coffee anyhow

After a lovely time, chatting away about everything between heaven and earth we went for lovely walk, still chatting away. Since I have a real busy day in front if me, the walk needed to take us past my favourite latte mums home. As I’m taking a trip over the bridge today and are on a limited budget she was kind enough to let me borrow her monthly pass.

Meeting da girls is a great start to the day I have to say, and my mood is on top, something real good as I’m sitting at the train station, wait for it!

Waiting for a delayed train! The train that will bring me to date no 2.
