You can never go wrong with an old town

I wrote this post yesterday and then it went away, so now let’s try it again and see if it works better.

After my visit to the tourist information I headed towards the old parts of Düsseldorf, because the old city is usually the best. After a brisk 20 minute walk I was once again hungry and settled down for my third breakfast of the day.

This lasted until noon, when I figured it was beer o’clock. I mean, you can’t go to Germany without drinking beer, right?

Especially when you are nice surroundings like this;

After beer I kept walking around, looking in shops enjoying the scenery until it was time to head back towards the central station and my next destination, Essen.

It this point it was scorching hot and I was very pleased with finding a Starbucks with some mango frappocino.

The train was, as they have been this far on my journey, on time and the trip to Essen incurred no issues, interesting.
