Did the trainjinx reach Vietnam? I don’t know, the person that the Queen herself ordered our tickets from said arrival at 4:30 but usually it arrives at 5am. The guide that dropped the tourists of in the compartment next to ours said arrival was at 6, which was the time we really arrives. I say no trainjinx as 6am is a much better arrival time then 4:30.
There was a coffee standing next to my bed when I woke up, magical! Then if was of to the shuttle bus that would take us through some beautiful scenery on the way to Sa Pa.
Our room wasn’t ready when we finally got there so we headed out in the village to chase down som breakfast, as we discovered later in the day, down the street would have been better however we were starving so we sat down for banana pancakes.
We then walked around the village while waiting for out room to be ready. Didn’t take that long really.
After checking in, the Queen herself went of on a hike. My hip is still bothering me since the moped incident so I opted out. To be honest though, just hanging out at the hotel having a proper shower, doing some laundry and just chill was what I needed. The constant moving from one place to another is a bit draining.
After a while I dragged myself out for lunch and a local beer, with the company of a book. I sat there until it was to dark too read and time for dinner.
Then I was once again joined by the Queen herself and we did another quick tour of the village by night.
Dinner was partaken at an Italian place with the cutest toothpick dispenser;
I tried their bruschetta and then more Vietnamese food, beef and chilly.
After dinner we went back to the hotell and watched TV. I think this might have been one of my most chillaxin days this far!
Peace out ma peeps
