Just an ordinary Tuesday

My alarm is set for 8am, this morning wasn’t super easy after last nights champagne, I still made it.

The first thing I do in the morning is sit down and check out this view, a slow start.

Today I made my smoothie before watering the plants that really seem to be recovering.

I make my way to work through this beautiful park, quite relaxing and I will miss it as in a couple of weeks work is moving to a new location.

Did some working before going for fancy coffee.

Did some more work before going for yum lunch.

Worked some more before more fancy coffee.

I was supposed to go for a stand-up comedy show this evening, I was just too tired and lazy to move outside the reservation. Instead I sat down for a beer on the corner;

Then heading for sushi, no more home delivery as a place has finally opened around the corner. It isn’t the best sushi in town, it is however good enough and loads cheaper than ordering in. And today my Wrapp (any day now you are more than welcome to send those advertising money over) kicked in with both a punch card (five meals and then money back) together with I got some more people on the app money so it was another cheap dinner.

Then my need for winning totally beat my laziness as I set a challenge for myself to walk 10 000 steps a day, and I only had 6000 so I went for a walk around the block to sort that out. My phone even show me a small trophy when I reach, talk about feeling accomplished.

One could think that the day would end there, however, my friends from Gotham was still in town and this eve it was the boys turn to hit the town as the ladies was out Monday night. Oh dear! A bit too much for a school night (the reason this is being posted Wednesday rather than Tuesday), not really sure what time I got home. Not really grown up.

And agin, not really a normal Tuesday – seems like I picked the wrong week to tell you about my normal Life.

Just an ordinary Monday

So I figured I would do a post a day this week, so you guys could see what my life really look like in between the post of me going away somewhere or just doing not so ordinary stuff.

So I woke up, watered my plants that almost died while I was away this weekend.

Made my smoothie.

Biked to work (no pics of that one, one of the few things I keep private).

Went for fancy coffee downstairs with my colleague.

[Forgot my camera, my colleague took a pic that he didn’t send to me so use your imagination]

Worked, or pretended to work for a bit, then we went for lunch.

Pretended to work for a bit more then went to a secret location before picking up my new gym card, whoop whoop I’m gonna get fit.

Went for dinner at my fav burger restaurant.

Came home and found my neighbours planting away in the garden.

[Can’t post pictures because I didn’t ask for their permission].

Sat down on the couch and the an old friend from Gotham called, she is in town so lets met up. Of course I always drink bubbly on a Monday night…not.

Ok, so the day might not have been the most average one. Lets try again tomorrow…it might just happen to be a normal Tuesday.

Away, away

I’m very lucky in my job that I have the option to work from home, I utilized that possibility this week by heading to the summer-house Thursday after (it was supposed to be Wednesday night but the big Boss from HQ wanted a meeting on Thursday, can’t really say no because I’m going to the countryside).

A day less doesn’t really matter as I still get the full effect of shoulders down and family time. And seriously I’m so much more efficient when there’s no coffee machine to gossip over and colleagues to chat away with. So I missed one of dinners like these…

Friday eve after the computer is turned of, you can go blueberry picking with the nieces.

Then the weekend comes and no more work, instead you can do touristy stuff with the fam.

It was too chilly for being mid-July so I took it upon myself to start a small fire, a controlled fire that is. Cosy evening in the countryside coming up!

No matter how much time I have in the summer-house, it always passes real swift and Sunday came in a blink of an eye. Somehow I ended up with lawn moving duty. Not sure I should be allowed to handle machines like this, and I promise that I didn’t spill any of the gas on the ground. Really, really promise.

Then all of a sudden I found myself on the train home. Feeling much relaxed and ready for work the train gods where very kind to me, everything went so smoothly I feel I should be worried. If one jinx doesn’t kick in, I always feel like another one is coming and lately it has been more of a #trainjinxturnedplanejinx rather than just a #trainjinx. Lucky me I don’t have any flights booked until August.

Now it’s time to go to bed, way past midnight and someone has to go to work tomorrow.

Who says Mondays have to be dull?

I had a wonderful lunch date with my awesome former colleague at an all you can eat sushi/taco place.

After pretending to work the rest of the afternoon it was then time for football in the evening. The sausage was better than the game…

The away supporters weren’t that many, the managed to be noisy anyhow. Impressive!

Then ended the day with a walk home in the sunset.

A long way home

One thing my family know how to do is breakfast, when we are all together there’s usually a large selection of food to be had. So also this time, I settled for cornflakes while my nieces had cheese doodles.

Then nothing much happened as we where all recovering from the previous eve’s gala. I managed to get my sister to sort out my hair…pretty!

Got some reading done;

Did some shopping as my cousin and her friends are making bracelets for a good cause.

And then it was suddenly time for lunch, leftovers rock!

And then it was suddenly time to head to the train and home. And since I’m so brilliant and such a good planner I arrived at the station at 20:47 – right in time for the European Cup final. We watched the first two halves at the station.

Then, when it went to overtime we headed to another place called Drum Bar to see Portugal win, undeserved according to me.

Took a while before I could hit my own sack! Fun end to a fun weekend though.

A couple of weeks ago my cousin turned 18 and now it was time to celebrate. She wanted a fancy dress party so I put on a fancy dress and my sister sorted my hair.

With a summer feel, me and the sister went looking for the Rosé wine, there was none so we realized that if we wanted some action was needed. Thus, we made our own;

The plan was then for dinner outside and I managed to load my plate full of yum yum food before the rain came. It wasn’t lovely summer rain, the sky opened right up so we had to move inside.

The rest of the evening was spent inside with cuddle time with the nieces and good talks with the family. Birthdays are a good reason to meet.

All set!

Don’t ask me what happened to the past couple of weeks since the last post, not sure where they went.

After a 8am alarm on a Saturday morning I’m now comfortable seated on a train towards the Capitol where a large part of my family will be. It’s birthday celebration time!

It’s a five hour trip so I figured I needed stuff to read, I might have gone a tad bit overboard on that front.

I’ll now enjoy my expensive kiosk brekkie, had plans on making my own to bring its just that 8am on a Saturday, and dig into the reading – just don’t know where to start.
