It’s been two years since my last trip to Hua Hin, and I’ve missed it. Luckily I slept most of the bus ride down so it went kind of quickly.
I was met at the bus stop so I didn’t have to carry all my heavy luggage and received a cold welcome drink.
After just chillin the rest of the afternoon we went to one of my absolute favorite places Sakura sushi.
After dinner we headed into town to say hello to old friends and ended up staying out until 2 am. That explains the Happy Meal next to my bed and the fact that I slept until noon today. Which means I just completed my first Hua Hin brekkie, yum!
I forgive you for boarding the flight an hour late and then making us wait on the plane for 45 minutes. I forgive you for two extremely bumpy flights. I forgive you for calling out for a doctor on the first flight. Your service and food was fantabolus! And I’m looking forward to flying with you again on my return flight home.
It wasn’t your fault that my roll-on deodorant broke in the bathroom, with the ball flying all over the place ensuring that I’m now covered in deodorant, just in the wrong places. I managed to buy a new one at the 7/11 here in Bangkok airport so maybe I don’t smell that bad on the buss ride.
Thank you for showing the Hunger games so I had something to watch while waiting on the tarmac and for not turning it off during take-off (yes Da Teacher…it worked from gate to gate).
I also enjoyed the Martian (understand why it ended up in the comedy section), Bones (after my dinner for once rather than during), not too sure about Unbroken though.
Falling asleep during a movie where a plane crashes only to be awoken by crazy turbulence. The same with Burnt, a movie where they smoke and cook amazing food when you are stuck on a plane?!?
Either way, my trip (after the initial stuff that I already forgiven you for) was perfect!
And yes, not to forget, the awesomely cool travel pouches.
With the bags repacked and ready for some sun, mother dearest gave me a ride to the Gotham airport. It’s been years since the last time I was here.
My flight was delayed and I thought it was due to the beautiful fog we had this morning, instead it was due to a late arrival.
Fifty minutes after planned departure time they let us on the flight so me and my new trusted companion headed on.
Only to be informed that we now had to sit on the flight for 45 minutes. It’s been more than 45 mins now. I’ve finished my first book for the journey and started watching one of the hunger games movies.
My two hours and fifty minutes in Istanbul, plenty of time, are now pretty non-existent. Let’s see if I ever make it to Thailand.
All things come to an end, so also this weekend. After another chaos brekkie we all packed up and got into our vehicles for the roadtrip home leaving our home for the weekend.
We didn’t quite manage to get rid of the family though as when we stopped for our pre lunch gas top-up we ran into the side of the family heading towards the capital. So we had lunch with them, me got a mountain of nachos.
Enjoying the Swedish landscape by day I tried to capture it’s beauty through the car window.
When it was time again for a stop, toilet, coffee and candy, we ran into the other half of the family heading towards Gotham as us. Of all the gas stations along the way it’s kind of funny that we stop at the same.
Once home, I had the pleasure of repacking my bag as there’s no reason to bring the winter clothes to Thailand. Though job but someone gotta do it!
So, it’s finally here, the day with one sleep left before the trip that I’m asking myself why I’m doing…with a little help from the best neighbor on the planet I’m now packed.
Conference with work, weekend skiing and then of to Thailand, all in one bag.
So what did I forget!? There must be something…
To be continued 😉
Three sleeps to conference with work, four sleeps to a ski trip with the whole family and eight sleeps to Thailand…all in one suitcase…
I need to buy a new bikini as I lost mine in Vietnam, I need to visit a pharmacy – today preferably. And I need to figure out what and how to pack. What am I doing?
Drinking coffee and reading redicolous discussions on Facebook about parents that call the school and say their kids are sick because the school said no for time off for a vacation.
The master of procrastination is in da house!!!
