A couple of days in Vegas is more than enough, so after trying a local Diner for breakfast we started walking towards the car rental place.
We managed to score a car around noon rather than at 3pm that was the original plan. We just need to get out, and we did it in style…this tiny little car;
We also didn’t realize that Area 51 was on our way from Vegas to Beatty, where we had a motel booked for the flight. So I now have a nice little Facebook check-in there, how cool isn’t that?
I want to remember taking pictures where we stopped for coffee, but can’t find them on my phone…hmmm!
Beatty turned out to be an interesting place as well, we already knew that our Motel had an Alien outside, it also had a nice place with cold beer and a Swedish lady that spent the past 25 years or so in the US. That got us introduced to the locals, you know: the gun carrying kind…
was a wet eve that landed me in bed early, too tired to fool Mr Grumpy II into digging a hole in the ground.
This is a day that I have been looking forward to since I found out that they were making yet another Die Hard movie. Not sure why they decided to have the premier on Valentines day, I am guessing that loads of ladies out there are getting lovely dates that they otherwise wouldn’t have gotten on this day.People do think that I am a bit nuts for going to the movies by myself on Valentines day, and it might be that I’m just a bitter single person however I don’t really think it’s that big of a deal. I mean, if you love someone you can give them roses, heart-shaped candy and take them out of a nice romantic dinner on any given day of the year, do we really need to have a special day for it?
Today I was caught between one couple that kept checking their phones all through the movie, not annoying at all when the big screens light up in a dark room. On the other side I had one of those couples that don’t get out much, so they don’t realize that talking out loud is annoying to the people around them.
However, by the end of the day none of that mattered, because Die Hard no 5 is just as much a Die Hard movie as no 1, 2, 3 and 4 were. I loved it, it was perfect, it was awesome and worth every penny and minute spent on it. A small note, if you didn’t like the first 4, you wont like this either.
You want me to talk about the content of the movie? There is bombs, guns, bad dudes, a hot chick, swearing, some shooting and then Bruce Willis saves the day. Did I leave anything out? Nah!
