Company Christmasparty

It is that time of the year, all the christmas parties and the likes. Last night we had the company christmas party and I went all in with a dress, gloves and all.

Me and a few colleagues kicked of the evening with a little cava at the Green Lion Inn.

The location chosen for this years party was amazing with beautiful views over the Malmö Harbour.

Dinner kicked of with a starter before a yum, yum buffet…

After dinner there the dancing started with live Saxophone music and the required drink tickets for the bar (at one point I had about 20).

The plan was for one glass of wine after dinner and then homewards, even the best laid plans though as I ended up being one of the ones closing the party 15 minutes to twelve…

Experiencing new stuff

This Tuesday morning saw me up earlier than normal me time, still not as early as this work have made me over the past few months.

As one of my colleagues where picking me up for an off site visit I made coffee and brekky to go go.

The office is in an area of Malmö that not many people visit too often unless they work there, at least that’s what I believe. There is an amazing view:

And interesting lunch places:

This place was just so random with a strange mix of people, as I understood it there isn’t that many places to choose from if you wanna go out and eat so everyone ends up there.

When you start early, you can leave early so you have time to drop of the bike at the place where a flat tire magically goes non-flat. Should be sorted tomorrow. Not that long ago, a flat tire would’ve been devastating for my day now I just walk. Love the new office.

Dead tired after a long day I longed after my couch. However, I signed up for a Runacademy event sponsored by one of my favourite addictions so I felt the need to go anyhow for more than one reason.

Firstly I signed up with Runacademy for this fall, to keep the running going, so I wanted to try it out. It was fun, though, but fun. It pushed me a little and it was fun to try something new. The time below includes warm up, intervals, standing still while listening to someone giving instructions as well as a bit of running so I’m quite pleased.

Secondly, it was sponsored by Vitamin Well, so I walked out of there with free stuff. In the middle, when all I wanted was to go home I just reminded myself that if I didn’t finish I wouldn’t get the free stuff. Love this shit! (and no, they are still not paying me to say this…)

After Monday there is Tuesday…

One would think that after a Monday like this one would benefit from a quieter more relaxed Tuesday, but no! The alarm was set for 5:30 am so that I could pack and get ready for a 6:48 train (still think than anything before 8am is still night). Pretty impressed with myself for making it to the station with time to buy breakfast.

I feel like I’m pushing my luck with three train trips in one week, the trainjinx is bound to kick in and as this mornings ride went without a hitch I guess is the ride home tomorrow. However, when work calls you answer…or something like that.

After a busy day in the office, where I wasn’t allowed to take any pictures we headed to our hotel for check-in and found Fika in the lobby. If you don’t know what Fika is I suggest you Google it. I only took a picture of the first round…there was three in total.

After sitting around for a bit, enjoying the cakes we changed into our running gear for an afternoon run. Sadly enough I was the one insisting on going for a run because I missed out on a medal opportunity this evening.

Running is easier when there is a reward at the end, and today that reward was hot water in a beautiful view.

Then the great finale, dinner! The perfect way of ending a very, very, very long day! Fantastic dinner.

Tomorrow will also begin earlier than usual, however with a day like this I do not doubt that crashing will happen early and sleep will be deep. Peace out ma peeps!

Walking

Waking up in a comfy bed rather than a small bunk in a train was nice. Breakfast at the hotel was eatable not fantastic, I opted for the banana pancakes.

We had a chill morning in the hotel before heading out on a walk to the closest village, Cat Cat. It was a 3k walk, something I figured even my sore hip could manage. It was a beautiful walk down.

However, when we reached the bottom of the hill we were told that we needed tickets to keep walking into the village and they could only be purchased half way up the hill. There was no way that we would walk up, get tickets to then walk down again so we started our return.

image

On the way there was a café with awesome view but no guests, we woke the poor dude up that worked there when we walked in.

When we returned to Sa Pa not that long later I was starving from all the exercise and stopped for a Beef noodle soup, pretty much without beef, still good and filling.

image

As the day went along, it got colder and colder and at one point a hot chocolate felt like a good idea…Swedish summer like weather…

image

Then it was time to head back to the bigger village to have dinner and then get back on the train for Hanoi.

image

After a big lunch I had a small dinner, and a beer…

image

That kept multiplying.

Oops..
Train;

Peace out ma peeps!

Sunday in da civilization

After a chill Sunday morning we figured that a little bit of civilization would be nice so me and da mother headed to da city for lunch with a view.

On our way from lunch we happened to walk past a shop with sales signs stating 70% off, so we just had to check it out. I walked out with a real barging, a pair of lovely shorts.

Having to do one more stop on our way back to the summerhouse I also picked up some yum Mums Mums (for planning on visiting Sweden, it’s a must eat) and some cool sponges for doing the dishes.

Just another awesome day in my life 🙂

Arrival

After a very comfortable plane ride, that included both extra legroom (pure luck) and food (bought and paid for), with s slight delay we arrived in Greece.

It took about an hour on the bus, that we were herded to like cattle – it is charter after all – before we made it to the hotel. A hotel that actually looked like it did on the pictures we saw when booking the trip, a pleasant surprise indeed. We quickly ditched our stuff at the room and went for lunch.

The rest of the afternoon was spent by the pool and I could take one of those fashionable feet on vacation pictures.

image

The evening, after an included buffet dinner, was spent infront of the exciting welcome show arranged by the hotels entertainment staff (at this point I’m getting Dirty Dancing vibes and are now in the midst of finding my very own Patrick Swayze) in the company of colourful drinks.

image

Long before going to bed I did finish the first book of the trip.
